Lifestyle Lift

Lifestyle Lift, a cosmetic surgery company specializing in facelifts, recently settled with the Florida attorney general over the company’s ads. According to USA Today:

The company’s agreement with the Florida attorney general requires it to change specific marketing practices, to follow Federal Trade Commission guidelines on testimonials, to stop calling its face lift a “revolutionary procedure,” and to refund some customers’ money.

Lifestyle Lift had failed to disclose that many of its client were compensated for their testimonials, breaking the FTC’s guidelines. Lifestyle Lifts has run into trouble in the past, settling with New York state in 2009 after being accused of having employees pose as customers and offer testimonials.
