TINA.org Files Comment in Support of Mass. AG’s Proposal to Ban Junk Fees
Federal efforts to rein in such charges have largely been unsuccessful to date.
MA AG Junk Fees and Automatic Renewal Subscriptions Comment
In December 2023, TINA.org submitted a comment to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office regarding its proposed regulations aimed at reducing junk fees and deceptive automatic renewal subscriptions.
In its comment, TINA.org expressed support for the Attorney General’s proposal and highlighted the many examples of junk fees and deceptive automatic renewal subscriptions that the organization has exposed over the last decade, as well as the impact these tactics have on consumers.
