February 2016:
A class-action lawsuit was filed against Calvin Klein, Inc. and Tommy Hilfiger Wholesale, Inc. for allegedly misleadingly advertising discounts at outlet stores by comparing sale prices to false market prices. According to the complaint, the market prices were artificially inflated and were never the original prices for items. In addition, the market prices were not the prevailing market price within the three months immediately before the advertisement, as required by California law. (Morrow et al v. PVH Corp., PVH Retail Stores, LLC, Calvin Klein, Inc., Tommy Hilfiger Wholesale, Inc., and Does 1-50, Case No. 16-cv-348, S. D. CA.)
