In November and December 2017, multiple class-action lawsuits were filed against Behr Paint and Home Depot for allegedly deceptively marketing DeckOver as having a more durable and five times thicker coating that fills in cracks and stops splinters when, according to the complaint, the product is not durable or long-lasting and begins to flake, peel, and separate from surfaces within months of application.
